Wanda E. Staggs, arrested in Indianapolis and brought back on a wife and child neglect charge, was ordered by Special Judge John H. James to pay $4 weekly to the Putnam Circuit Court clerk starting June 23. A $100 fine and six month sentence on the Indiana State Farm were set aside if she keeps up the payments for two children. The January affidavit charged non support of wife Mae Staggs and four children of Bainbridge. Friday it was found only two children still needed support.

License plates seized in Russellville man case
Indianapolis report says Charles Lewis Jr. was arrested after police found a car with a bullet hole parked in front of 327 Ellsworth street. The plates matched a Russellville owned vehicle. Lewis allegedly tried selling two car batteries stolen from Alexander Thomas of a garage on Indiana avenue. Thomas fired, hitting the fleeing car.
