Abandoned Dam Project At Cagle's Mill Hoosier Hill Lands
The W B Foshay Company could not meet the high land prices for 23000 acres needed for a 150 foot dam at Cagle's Mill Indiana. Drills and Eel River Power offices were closed as talks with landowners failed to reach acceptable options. The project, with a potential three million dollar scope, was to fund and build a hydro electric plant but pricing above $57 an acre halted progress. It remains unclear if another firm will finance or if the project ends.
