David C. Hurst, age 36 years, 3 months, 1 day, died Monday night at his Mt. Meredian area home after a brief pneumonia illness. He was the son of Mr and Mrs V V C Hurst and is survived by his wife and five sons. Funeral Wednesday at 2 PM at Stilesville Christian Church with Rev. Ott Sherrill officiating. Burial in Stilesville cemetery. He was a son-in-law of Preston Buis, Putnam County farmer.

DePauw will send twenty four delegates to the state Volunteer Convention at Earlham College Richmond from Friday February 14 to Sunday February 15.
