Bank Robbery Suspects Captured Minutes After Heist in Vevay
Two gunmen described as Evansville men robbed the Florence Deposit Bank in Vevay, taking 7 dollars and fleeing in a stolen coupe. They were pursued by Fletcher Motors owner and captured near Patriot within about twenty minutes. sheriff William Cook and deputy William Bowen aided in the arrest.

Third meningitis death at state farm in ten days
The third death from spinal meningitis in the penal institution at Putnuniville occurred Friday evening. A Gary man, 27 year old Almo Tonsil, died after a 25 hour illness. He had been an inmate ~three weeks and was buried in Gary yesterday. Another case is reported at the Penal Farm.
