Roachdale hosts a Democratic gathering Thursday evening November 2 with speakers Judge Charles of Terre Haute and Ben Fies of Lebanon promoting Congress candidates for the 9th district. A Greencastle delegation plans to attend and a Greencastle Democratic Drum Corps will perform under Chairman Otto Dobbs.
LIAM GA MESSNER of Terre Haute paid 100 dollars after a Tuesday evening auto collision south of Greencastle. He faced charges and was brought before Squire Frank who set costs including repairs and a Knight’s Garage bill.
A regular teacher's examination took place Saturday at the High School Building, with participants mounting an assessment of teaching standards and qualifications.

Brevoort Baker of Columbus Indiana visits his aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs William Wetz Harold Long of St Louis stays with his brother George Long and family. Miss Lois Brown a former Green castle girl and DePauw School of Music graduate has been chosen to lead Greencastle Public School music this year succeeding Mrs George Christie who has resigned.
Henry N. Spann Democratic candidate for Congress in Indiana’s seventh district condemned the Goodrich administration and its tax law in a Lebanon speech. He linked Warren McCray to Goodrich, attacked the tax plan, the Highway Commission, and the Board of Taxation, and urged repeal of the tax law as harmful to farmers. The Crawfordsville conference and church group meeting at Mrs. George Garrett’s on South Indiana Street were noted.
Secretary Colby signed the proclamation officially announcing the suffrage amendment to the Constitution after receiving Governor Roberts certification that Tennessee ratified the amendment. Justice Siddons denied a pre injunction bid to block Colby from issuing the proclamation. no further action would delay the proclamation once certification arrived.

County Prosecutor Adams said he received word from C. E. Talkington superintendent of the state farm that William Johnson of Detroit and Frank Patterson of Cleveland, convicted of petit larceny, have been placed under guard at the farm. Talkington asked Governor Goodrich to transfer them to the county jail to prevent an escape attempt.
