Funeral Service Held For Mrs Harris
Mrs Laura Clarinda Larsen Harris widow of G A Harris died October 7 1955 after years of ill health. Funeral services were conducted at the L D S Church in Green River. She was born September 16 in Ferron Utah and later moved to Moab with the Fisher Valley Ranch family. On February 22 1901 she married G A Harris joining two prominent local cattle families. They raised seven children four survive with their husband and a sister Lorena Wilcox.

Brother and Sister Burned in Dynamite Cap Explosion
Susan Ann Rankin and Michael Rankin were rushed to Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City after a dynamite cap exploded. They had found boxes at Green River’s Yellow Queen camp and their stepfather, Jack Gilbert, said caps on the ground were flattened but not detonated. He noted injuries could not yet be assessed but expected release Wednesday.
