One horse was fatally injured and another horse valued at 2500 was seriously hurt, with the incident blamed on a broken harness. In district court Judge Gamble ordered foreclosure on two mortgages totaling 14000 on the Mackey-Wilson case involving Lewis Wilson and A L Mackey. The sheriff was directed to sell the home farm south of LaSalle unless 14000 is paid within five days. The four year suit stems from a 1905 land trade and misrepresentation claims ending with the Mackeys planning to restart near their old homestead.

Fire at Eaton A Pleasant Change
A fire at one this morning altered the usual night burglaries in Eaton. A box car was accidentally set ablaze by a local resident named Pierce who had bunked there. The hose cart and volunteers extinguished it. Pierce, who also set a barn on fire recently, is jailed in Greeley, suspected to be half-witted. No burglaries reported at headquarters.

Dick Murray and Morris Burns colored men were arrested in Olace Monagey Aitone and Florance escorted Murray to Greeley while Burns remains jailed in Eaton. Murray arraigned by Judge G. H. Bradfield and pleaded guilty to gambling on a second offense, fined $125 plus costs.
