City council orders street and sewer work plans
The city council approves moving scales to clear gutters along Seventh Avenue and opens Nineteenth Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. It accepts a warranty deed with Great Western Sugar for a twenty foot strip of land to use as a sewer outlet and agrees the last seventy feet of sewer work incur no more than $1,600 in extra costs. The deed remains perpetual while land is used for sewage.

Dox Carr Alleges Life Was Jeopardized in Fight
Dox Carr of Carr Manufacturing at Seventh Street fought with M K E Barton owner of the Exchange hotel in Carr’s business place Monday afternoon.
