Still at War in Convention Speer Delegation Wins
Indications that two Democratic state tickets will be in the field this fall. At the Colorado Democratic convention in Pueblo factions led by Speer Patterson and Musser clash over seating Denver Las Animas El Paso delegates. A compromise failed despite harmony efforts, suggesting two tickets remain likely. Justice Steele was proposed as arbitrator amid disputes with Taft Philippine sugar criticism raised by Charles F. Tew of Greeley.
