The East Denver Municipal irrigation district known as the Antero district voted a 3 million dollar bond issue to take over the English High Line ditch and reservoirs and extend works. The district spans about 60,000 acres northeast of Denver. Land owners approved the plan 22 to 1, aiming to create a thriving agricultural community. Antero reservoir completed last year now supplies water to all district lands, enabling extensive plowing and potato planting preparations for next spring. Potatoes planted by Greeley and Eaton farmers yielded strong early results with high sacks per acre and prices from 1.60 to 1.85 per sack. land value rose from 125 to 200 dollars per acre.

Fort Collins Colorado October 10 The Great Western Sugar factory began work this morning and the campaign will run sixty days due to limited acreage. Under the new scale beets receive at least five dollars per ton with higher payments for better sugar content. Many growers report beets worth six dollars a ton, with few on the minimum. Acreage this year totaled nine thousand, down from fifteen thousand in 1909.
