Improvements include new walks and over a hundred trees, a soon ready library, and a wing addition to the engineering building to accommodate growth. Reception at Ninth Avenue Home for Normal Students

Young brakeman killed in switching accident
Eugene Roth a 25 year old head brakeman on Union Pacific freight train No 25 was injured when caught between two cars during switching at La Salle last Sunday. He died later that day at St Anthony’s hospital in Denver. His home was Cleveland Ohio where relatives were informed of his death.

Irrigated Farm in Colorado Uses Reservoir Water System
About five miles west of Greeley B D Sanborn owns the only farm in northern Colorado fully irrigated by reservoir water. A dam across Sheep Draw forms a reservoir that gathers snow and rain waters and supplies the farm each year. A second dam farther down the draw serves additional land, with wastewater from the upper reservoir feeding the lower one. After irrigation, both reservoirs still hold water for next season.
