Rehearsals completed as J. C. Kendel leads 20 instrumentalists in a program of light operas marches and romantic numbers at the Aerilag opera house. The pit will be used as floor seating for players and stage effects include new lights and costumes brought in yesterday for the opening performance.

A benefit thimble party hosted by the Ladies of the W R C at the Presbyterian church parlor drew 175 attendees. Light refreshments were served and proceeds were added to the general fund.
A blaze in the operator's booth at the Isis theater Tuesday evening injured operator Jack O'Donnell’s hands and destroyed reels and machinery. About 75 people attended. two rear exits helped evacuate safely with no injuries reported.
Missouri Supreme Court in an opinion by Justice Graves sustains Special Commissioner Brace in ousting the International Harvester Company of America from doing business in Missouri. A $50,000 fine is imposed and the company may continue only if it pays the fine, separates from the New Jersey parent, files a business statement, and shows future compliance within sixty days. The ruling cites reduced competition and the respondent as part of a large unlawful scheme.
The women of the W C T U will meet at the home of Mrs. Gillette on Friday November 15 to reorganize the union and plan the year's work.

Galesburg Illinois November 16 The Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs hosts its largest convention as educator William L Bodine urges strict parental conservation to protect the child. He warns that unfit parentage leads to subnormals delinquents and social decay and calls for health checks before marriage and strict standards for ending child marriages. He critiques false modesty and insists on informed parenting to safeguard public health and morals.
The Swedish Lutheran ladies host their annual Thanksgiving dinner this Thanksgiving day. Everyone is invited and the price is affordable. Lunch will be served in the evening.
Aust. Nov. 16 William Miller was telegraphed to Cripple Creek Tuesday that his brother, a prominent local figure, was dying.
Frank Murato a Japanese defendant charged with the murder of K Yubisiku goes on trial in district court. Witnesses testify with interpreter J Yamato present as Murato observes rulings closely while asserting calm confidence in his innocence.
The Denver price fixing case will be argued today before the court of appeals. The state seeks to overturn Judge Allen’s three year old injunction against the Denver Jobbers and Retail Merchants Grocers associations and others for alleged price control of food products. Deputy AG Lee to argue for the state.
Fort Collins reports Chief Engineer L. L. Stimson says the Laramie-Poudre tunnel will be completed by December 1. Three massive steel headgates, each five by eight feet, will control water flow allowing 1,000 feet of water to pass. Water use may start after April 1 with the irrigation season.
Seely and Fournier opened at Elxoth avenue and Ninth street a fully equipped drug store. Partners A. H. Seely and H. Fournier bring twenty years of Colorado dine business experience and promise modern facilities and complete stock.
Eleven year old Eddie Blanchard sought refuge at the sheriff's office after being driven from home by his mother Mrs Frank Cristoff of Superior. County Judge E J Ingram committed him to a state home for dependent children. The mother refused to take the boy back at the October hearing, saying I do not like him. Authorities may prosecute the parents.
Music lovers learn Henry B. Vincent’s organ recital at the Methodist church is moved to the 21st to avoid a clash with The Piper. Vincent has long guided Chautauqua music as band conductor and organ director and performs daily recitals on a large organ.
Mrs G D Statler and Mrs W C Wilson hosted the fourth in a series of Mrs Statler's parties Tuesday evening at her home. Forty guests played military 500. Hostesses and helpers served refreshments. Margaret Statler Grace Wilson and Ada Brush assisted. A 6 o'clock tea for forty guests followed the next day at Mrs Statler's home. The series ends Friday with another card party.
Fort Lupton November 15 contracts for raising beans tomatoes for local packing plants were signed early this fall. Farmers, eager after satisfactory crops, renew agreements with Barwise Packing Company signer T C Winbourn holding 1200 acres and O E Frink of Silver State Creamery and Canning Company with 1800 acres.
Denver on November 15 sees progressives and old corporation Republican machine clash over the commission government plan. The corporation faction plans an executive committee meeting at the Brown to push anti commission efforts. E P Costigan answers as progressive Republicans by calling for more volunteers to preserve the party’s reputation and to join in efforts for a free Denver.
Dr. W. O. Weber and E. T. Ling returned from a ten day hunting trip down the Platte. They camped each night along the river bank despite extreme cold. They swapped their boat for transport to the railroad and headed home with a nice catch of ducks.
Governor Shafroth names Mine Inspector Dalrymple John R. Lawson of District 15 UMWA and a C I official to examine Fremont county mining conditions. The group will determine if operators violate the screening law amid miners' claim of 15 cent per ton deductions via a “Billy Fairplay” screen.

Roy D. Bowlin, 22, formerly of Geary Nebraska, died in a late Monday night dash to reach a physician in Fort Collins. His wife Mrs. Bowlin started from Nunn thirty miles away and raced to save him but could not reach help in time. The body awaits coroner Balmer's investigation at the morgue. Bowlin had moved from Nebraska to Nunn a week earlier for health reasons, with heart trouble possibly worsened by cold or pneumonia.
