Pierce Colorado Teacher Assault Case Arrest and Court Date

Word comes that G. F. Porter and his wife, once Greeley music dealers, have died in Washington. Mrs. Porter died in Pomeroy and Mr. Porter in Dayton while both faced lung trouble. he was unaware of her death. They formerly ran the local music store now Thompson Music Company occupants.

Pony Causes Park Mayhem In Greeley Parade
A pony driven by Mr. Barth, a new arrival in Greeley, caused a lively scene through the park on Thursday morning. It broke a hitching rack on Ninth street, dragged across Ninth avenue into D. M. Cam field's lawn, left the cart wheels, and dropped harness pieces as it ran, finally stopping at the Wambaugh building.

East Denver high school captured the Colorado interscholastic championship at a rain soaked Boulder event scoring 31 points. Greeley finished with nothing, while State Preparatory and Loveland tied for second with 20 points each, Loveland taking the prize. Horse Thief Caught Near Fort Lupton
Sheriff Florance tracked Daniel L. Gant to Calhan Colorado after a deputy arrested him for stealing Harry Ewing’s horse near Fort Lupton. Gant admitted the theft and was bound over to district court. Farmers had discussed the spate of horse thefts at a schoolhouse meeting prior to the arrest.

High water forces the Poudre to cut a new northbound channel creating a twenty acre island. A secondary channel runs from the river toward the city on the west of the Union Pacific line, crossing under the bridge near the Y and feeding the main river channel.
