Northern Colorado calls for at least ten million dollars to expand irrigation over the next five years. Denver Reservoir Irrigation, Henrylyn district, Antero and Lost Park, Poudre Valley and Laramie-Poudre outfits push toward reclaiming 100 200000 acres. County officials visited Pierce and Olive Branch regions to decide on two new voting precincts amid election costs.
In a Las Vegas letter Jesse Nusbaum recounts a trip to Penitente settlements in Mora and Sapello New Mexico. He details crossings of heavy wooden crosses borne by penitents the guards control access to Morado ceremonies and the brutal practices of atonement including flint cuts and knotted scourges.
A Greeley area reader writes to urge rejection of mustard cultivation in Weld county arguing it harms soil and land value. He cites California experience and predicts yellow fields and lost profits if mustard greens are grown, urging early action to protect agriculture.

Free of Delta state advisor. Delegates to the Peoria national meeting in June were named: F. B. Easterday. Lew Warner. T. F. Woolums of Denver. H. M. Simms of Sterling. J. F. Sanford of Colorado Springs. C. B. Lutes of Grand Junction. A. C. Van Galder of Berthoud. A. C. U. Banks of Lamar. The next triennial will be in Delta, Colorado.
