The Denver Chess, Checker and Whist Club defeated Greeley in a Thursday night match at the Masonic Temple Denver. Denver led by eighteen tricks at the close, with Denver totaling 2089 to Greeley 2071 for the evening. North and south scored 1975 and east and west 2185. A new district to be named District No 66 is created from parts of districts 52 53 and 101 northwest of Severance and will start a school to serve about fifty children. Nearby Dover area also plans a district as settlers push in with over forty children ready for school twelve to fifteen miles north of Ault. J S Jones and family from St Louis have arrived and will reside in the city.
