An amateur advisor argues a basic outfit costs 1535 to outfit an eighty acre Greeley farm with horses plows harrows and seeders. He notes sugar beet gear adds 1250 giving a total of 1762.50 and suggests hiring some large implements and building a shed. He emphasizes maintenance and organization to preserve value and asks if the plan would work in actual farming.
Summer residents along the Poudre canyon seek 100000 young trout to stock the river near Home Cola and Rockhurst Inas. The fish are shipped to Fort Collins by rail then wheeled 70 miles upstream in tin cans kept cold with ice to survive the crossing and overnight camp.
J Del Ellis the Brighton night marshal was fatally shot while confronting burglars attempting to rob the post office. The attackers fled and are believed linked to a prior kersey store robbery. Ellis died after being taken to Denver.
Fort Collins Colorado Senator W A Drake says Colorado lamb feeders face a loss near one million dollars this winter after putting in a million lambs. He notes heavy losses so far with market conditions improving only if later lambs fetch better prices and consumers buy more lamb meat.
Mr and Mrs B G Eaton entertained last Thursday with a card party in honor of their house guest Miss Susan Patterson. Fifty guests attended as the game 500 produced prize winners Mrs J B McCutcheon and Dr Frank Dille. Car nations adorned the decorations and music filled the evening by Misses Lucy Delbridge Josephine Knowles and Eugene Fisk.
