Riverside Irrigation District elects directors and plans reservoir
The Riverside Irrigation district chose Frank W. Smillie Mason Moon and Riceson as directors. Voters approved reservoir construction and a bond plan to be funded by a per acre assessment of about 20 dollars with payment in installments. Poudre Valley Ditch Plans Seek Funds for Cobb Lake Reach
Negotiations continue between the Poudre Valley Reservoir company and the Laramie Reservoir and Irrigation company over financing to extend the Poudre Valley ditch to Cobb lake, about ten miles northeast of Fort Collins, and to enable storage of 1.8 billion cubic feet. If loaned 75000 dollars, an additional 50000 may be needed to complete the system to the big reservoir and allow water transfer to the Laramie system and onward toward Nunn. The Laramie firm owns Link lakes and the Poor reservoir and plans tunneling from the Medicine Bow range. Boyd lake is also considered for inclusion to boost storage.
