Greeley Public Library Effort and Cheyenne Excursion
Greeley readers hear of a renewed push for a public library with a $2,000 start funded by six ladies and six gentlemen after earlier failures. The Cheyenne excursion to Denver for Independence Day gains eight emigrant sleeping cars from Union Pacific, with fare to be set. Reminiscences follow about early frontier saloon clashes and a riot trial impacting local order, plus notes on period magazines and books.
