Mary Michaud daughter of Louis Michaud a small farm family near Wellington confessed to forging two checks for 12 and 18 50 dollars to obtain funds for a trip to California. She cashed the checks at Yeagy Phillips Dry Goods and Phillips Mercantile. Deputy Sheriff Peterson arrested her at Collins and brought her to Eaton.
