A long romance anchors the Estes Park estate transfer to B D Sanborn of the city and F Stanley of Newton Mass. The park, once tied to the Earl of Dunraven, now passes with new electric and road developments under Stanley’s guidance. The piece recounts a meeting of early romance, a marriage, and plans for a hotel, cottages, archery, and scenic improvements along the Colorado park.
Mary Mimmack, a colony pioneer and mother figure, marked her 77th birthday last Thursday. Friends gathered at Mrs. A. M. Green's home for a noon meal set for twelve, with Mrs. Green and many longtime associates attending.
The Fort Collins and Greeley Unitarian Sunday schools held a combined picnic near Timnath. The day featured nature study led by Dr. Ward, games, and amusements. Attending adults included Mrs. Bassett, Mr. and Mrs. Sanborn, Oliver Howard and son Ross, and several others.
R E Seymour one of the witnesses in the E Wylie murder trial was ordered under arrest by Judge Hubert Shattuck for alleged perjury. Wylie was charged with killing Swan Hager by a pitchfork strike leading to blood poisoning and death weeks later. Seymour had testified Hager was hospitalized in Fort Collins. no hospital visit occurred. He was bonded at five hundred dollars with John Ferguson as surety.
A compact verse extols the flag with blue crimson and white, praising the nation’s strength, justice, law, and reverent awe. It speaks of days of plenty, years of peace, and the march toward a strong land defending its people from foreign wrong.

A train of renowned civil engineers from the National Civil Engineers association toured northern Colorado after a Denver convention. Notable attendees included L. F. Deyo of New York, John A. Bensal of New York water supply, Waldo Smith of New York, and Isham Randolph, former Isthmian canal commissioner, among others.
A new canning factory will begin operation within the next few days. The plant will not be open for sightseers at all times. once machinery and work areas run smoothly a viewing day will be announced for visitors to observe operations.
A full afternoon and evening of events in Lincoln Park and surroundings features a pipe organ concert at Congregational church, the Loretta Twins Dog and Pony show, wrestling and jiu jitsu demonstrations, and a 2 PM start for a grand amusements program. Children compete in dash races with prizes from $2.50 to $15, plus costume contests, egg and bread contests, nail driving and other contests, with teams from Eaton Fort Collins Timnath and Greeley. The program closes with a Grand Military Drill by the Colorado National Guard, a band concert, aerial fireworks, and postevent trains for travelers on the Colorado & Southern and Union Pacific lines.
Lute Wilcox editor of Field and Farm with attorney Harry J. O'Brien appeared in Greeley on legal business over a suit against stock and ranchman Joseph Painter. Wilcox alleges payments totaling 10,000 by him without return and debts run in the partnership name. Judge Garrigues named James Tuckerman as receiver for the property.
Mrs D M Lovell and Mrs Piper visited Estes Park as guests of Mr and Mrs Ellinor Pinney for two weeks. While there they were entertained with a three course dinner at the Mosher cottage prepared and served by Jack Mosher and Louis Horne. The guests called the feast impressive and worthy of seasoned cooks.
Seventeen trades have agreed to close each Thursday afternoon starting July 9. Closures begin at one o clock and resume next morning, covering groceries dry goods barber clothing banks military stores bicycle shops shoe stores book stores furniture jewelry second hand music nations lumber coal meat market electrical supply.
A Monday night reception for the Daily Tribune drew at least seven hundred attendees, with names cast on slugs as keepsakes. Stockholders from the Denver Laramie and Northwestern railroad joined dignitaries including Senator W L Clayton and George J Spear, sharing congratulations and goodwill with Tribune staff.
A touring car broke down in Coal Creek country when a sprocket chain failed. Four men and their chauffeur walked into Ault after the event to survey the land. The travelers were S. A. Bradfield, Dan Strohl, A. J. Luther, and J. P. Nauman.
