County Commissioner District Boundaries Redrawn in 3 Areas
The county redraws Commissioner districts to equalize population and property value. District 1 extends from the county line through Greeley south and east to Weld County, District 2 covers similar lines plus a segment in Greeley and the South Platte corridor, District 3 follows the South Platte main channel to Weld and back to the county line. A Hyle Bridge between Greeley and Kersey will be maintained and funded from District 1 appropriation.

City teachers to hear Prof Will Grant Chambers on child differences
Prof Will Grant Chambers of the State Normal School Department of Psychology will address the city teachers on The Individual Differences of Children at the next general teachers meeting on January 27. The Commercial club plans a public session on public school interests. Enrollment exceeds 1400, with 241 in the high school.

Man commits suicide with revolver near Loveland
W F Brier shot himself in a lonely shack near Loveland between last week Wednesday and Thursday. His frozen body was found Thursday morning with a revolver in his hand. He had about $100 and papers on him. He had wandered for 48 hours during severe winter weather after a prior incident with washing powder in a cup. He owned a North Park ranch. CG Beall visited Cheyenne to spend Sunday with his wife.

Manual training expands in Greeley public schools
In Greeley schools manual training grows with clay modeling in first grade and mechanical drawing in fourth grade supervised by E A Ross and sewing and drafting by Miss Edith Gale. Fifth grade covers domestic science for girls, while sixth to eighth grades add woodworking, furniture construction, and new experiments including a hygroscope and electropnorus. The Greeley Canning Factory held its annual meeting last Thursday electing H Bliss as president W Wilson as vice president W E Kinsella as secretary M B Petri kin as treasurer. Directors include George M Houston and R G Strong. The company organized last summer to erect the factory for Empson Packing. Final stock assessments are called as buildings near completion for the 1908 crop.

The 1907-08 beet sugar campaign ends at Greeley Eaton and Windsor plants with 68 000, 70 000 and 80 000 tons of beets processed. Union Pacific to Reach Craig Colorado by Next November
A. L. Mohler announces Union Pacific will operate into Craig Routt county by November. Surveys near completion, cross sections done, grading to begin. Route runs south from Wamsutter Wyoming to Yampa river into Craig, entering coal fields and boosting the line as a feeder. A boom is expected at Craig as coal lands are sought. An independent Electric line surveys Rifle to Craig may connect Rio Grande and Union Pacific paths.

Packs Her Truck Dies After Farewell Dance
Mrs. Margaret Birchfield died Thursday night in Ault after packing for Cleveland and preparing a train lunch. She suffered an asthma attack during a farewell dance for her daughter Miss Lottie Birchfield. She had been staying with Mrs. Sarah Jones.
