Brutal assault shocks Evans area at Perry farm
Al Gallatin, a renter on the Thomas Perry farm near Evans, lies seriously injured after a brutal attack. A. L. Abney, a hostler at J. White livery in Evans, and two White sons Guy and Roy are implicated. Gallatin reports jaw fractures and internal injuries from an assault in the White barn. Eighteen carloads of Colorado grown Yellow Danvers onions were shipped to New York and sold to Lawrence Hensley Fruit Co through Frommel Bros of New York. The deal, 3 000 dollars, marks Colorado onions breaking into Pacific and eastern markets and boosting long haul sales. Potatoes also head west to California with six thousand sacks shipped this week.
