Weld County residents are urged to assemble in their voting precincts on Saturday January 24 at 2 PM to elect at least one delegate for a January 28 1885 convention in Denver to support US government coinage of silver. Arthur Hotchkiss and others sign the notice.
Dr Bosanko billed as originator of a popular cough and lung syrup for coughs colds consumption and throat and lung ailments. It was sold by Mason and Kyle at 50 cents and 1 dollar.
Greeley’s first opera The Chimes of Normandy drew large crowds at the Opera House. The acting and singing by local youths impressed, while Grand Army Post members wore new uniforms at the benefit. The plot centered on a haunted Canal No. 3 estate, romance, feuds, and a rightful heir returning to claim wealth and marry favored partners.
