Weld County Credit Men elected officers and directors D R McArthur C F Bell Harry H Shaw BL Kittle A W Jacobs J M B Petrikin O O Russell W E Wilson W H Farr. About 160 Weld County businessmen belong to the group, with $916 in the bank and over $2 600 handled last year. Members must subscribe at least $18 annually. The reports praise the association on a sound, stable footing.

Faton Feb 15 Many people traveled from here to LaSalle Monday afternoon with Rev and Mrs Dickinson as they began the eastbound journey with the body of Mrs Dickinson who died Saturday. Among those who rode the train were T K Wilson Mrs Fred Weller and Miss Clark. W R Clark led a party in his automobile.
Eaton February 15 The Sly ranch fire ranks as one of the worst in months burning the barn granary wagons and harness while the house and sheep corrals were spared by neighbors rushing to the scene amid a fierce wind and storm. The blaze started after an alarm from a dog and the exact cause remains a mystery with losses running to several thousands of dollars.
In LaSalle on Feb 15 John Harvey a workman on the roundhouse scaffold hung seventeen feet above ground when the structure blew out. Foreman Lee McMillan grabbed a ladder and pulled him to safety as Harvey, exhausted, reached the ground. The windstorm caused minor damage overall with signs blown down.
Superintendent L. H. Harrison and Prof. Hadden of the Normal attend in Denver to finalize plans for the annual conference of county school superintendents. The meeting is set for March 31 and April 1 with both men serving on the executive board.
A petition filed with L. H. Harrison, county superintendent of schools, seeks the creation of a new school district near Tonville on the Burlington road in Hudson County.
George Gunnerson was fined 20 dollars and costs in police court for creating a disturbance during a Methodist church sermon last Sunday night. Reverend J J Lace admonished Gunnerson to keep quiet but did not remove him from the church.
Mrs. Fannie Tuck entertained friends at her home on Eighth street Friday evening in honor of her daughter Mrs Morgan formerly of Americus Kansas. Mrs Morgan is visiting and will soon return to her Delta home. A pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
Stanley A. Hunter of Princeton University received a $100 medal for a competitive essay on current French affairs. The award honors Baron Pierre De Coubertin in memory of President Carnot. Hunter is the nephew of Dr. R. J. Hunter of the city and the son of Dr. R. A. Hunter formerly pastor of Denver's First Presbyterian Church. He previously studied at the University of Denver and is in his final year at Princeton. His father now lives in Riverside, California.
A severe storm in Hazelton and surrounding districts on Monday night drove guests at a Valentine party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Will Drake to remain at the ranch. The home was damaged by the blast and debris, yet the gathering ended up lively with decorations, games, and a long card session until daylight.

Hiram Council No 7 I O Glaier retires after six years as Thrice Mystious Master of Royal and Se lect Masters. At Monday meeting he receives a Past Master jewel the first of its kind in Greeley. He has over twenty years in the lodge and is presented with a Past High Priest jewel.
Coroner T. G. Macy and Dr. A G C McCain departed by auto to investigate a death near Sligo two miles from town on the Burlington line. Details remained sparse as officials planned to withhold names until return with full information.
