Schools Hold Holiday Programs Across City Rooms
Public schools launched Christmas observances with room by room programs led by teachers and pupils. In the high school auditorium the program featured the Greeley orchestra, readings, piano solos, and a Dickens selection. Across the Meeker and South wards pupils created gifts for the poor, with dolls, scrap books, candy and popcorn. State Teachers' Association to Meet in Denver
The state teachers association will assemble in Denver on Tuesday December 31 and continue sessions for four days. Five nationally prominent speakers will attend delivering one to four lectures each. Mrs Messe L Gaynor of St Joseph Missouri represents local interests.

Christmas Party At Whowell Home In Johns Town
One of the jolliest Christmas socials was hosted by Mr and Mrs John Whowell in Johns town. Guests traveled by auto from Greeley Tuesday and enjoyed a Christmas tree for the children and a Christmas dinner. Attendees included Mr and Mrs H M DeVotie and Duane DeVotie, Mr and Mrs W T Lynn and children of Ault, Mr and Mrs C L Montgomery of Eaton, and Miss Florence DeVotie and Frank DeVotie of Mexico.

School Art Exhibit Showcases Student Creations

Displays feature water colors pen and ink and pencil artworks with blotters post cards calendars and gift items. Top eighth and seventh grade works highlighted by multiple students across rooms.

Two Men Sentenced in Second Degree Murder Case
Hiram T. Wilson and John Murray were sentenced by Judge Garrigues in district court for murder in the second degree in the September Johnstown killing of William H. Davis.
