The Weld County fair will host two 25 mile per hour speed exhibitions by Metzger Motor Car Co with Everett Thirties on September 21 and 22. Forty to fifty wagon loads of potatoes, plus large crowds from Denver Pueblo and Colorado Springs are expected for Potato Day serving 25 000 meals. Ralph Thompson will fly in the Mathewson airship and a top racing card plus strong agricultural displays are planned.
LaSalle, Aug 30. The town is in a building boom with several structures under construction and more planned. The Fraternal block on Union avenue nears completion at about 10000 dollars, offering lodge rooms and first floor garages. Carlson restaurant is finished and occupied. The event includes two Lady Minstrel shows, a band, merry-go-round, duck shoot, and free dinners plus free watermelons and tomatoes. D Pickett a district pioneer died Tuesday at his Twin Bridges area home after a long stomach cancer battle. He lived on his ranch for 25 years and is survived by his widow and grown children. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
Miss Hazel Tracy returns to Camfield after a week spent near Greeley. She is welcomed back by local residents and neighbors.
William E. Pabor, 77, early Colorado settler and promoter of Fort Collins, Grand Valley fruit industry, and founder of Fruita and Pabor Lake Florida, died in Denver after relocating to a lower altitude. Survived by four children. funeral plans pending Florida relatives.

An all day missionary rally for Kersey district Sunday schools is set at the S. L. Gill A two hour basket dinner follows a morning program and afternoon sessions feature devotional exercises and talks on farming themes by named delegates and pastors.
Mrs Forrester McGregor of Kalispell Montana aged 74 has journeyed east with three motherless grandchildren visiting New York and Ohio. She is now in Greeley with Donald Nixon two and a half years old and will travel to Denver to arrange care for another charge before returning home to Canada.
The Congregational Sunday school held its annual picnic at Island Grove park with two sections for children. Primary children stayed in town at the city park while older children rode a street car to Island Grove. Activities ran from 9 30 this morning through the day and a picnic dinner was served at noon.
Miss Lorena Harrison departs Saturday for the southern part of the state to teach for the year. Her twin sister Miss Lucile leaves Monday for Wheatland Wyoming to teach in the schools. Both are daughters of former county superintendent L. H. Harrison and both graduated from the Normal this year.

W. E. Pabor, an early day Denver resident, collapsed and died during a recent stay in the city. The death was reported as sudden with investigators awaiting further details.
