Drainage petition prompts special meeting of town board
About one hundred ten signatures urged the town to study drainage. The board will investigate the issue during the week and hold a special meeting Saturday evening to decide on actions. The Electric Light Company and the Carbonous Oxide Illuminating Gas Company sought charters. Walter C. Crown's bond as deputy marshal and night watchman was approved. An ordinance licensing vehicles was repealed. The artesian well railing area was found unsafe and will be removed. A. Mc Cleod sought bond reduction for billiard saloons from 25 000 to 3 500. petition denied. A A Howard’s street grass-cutting bill was rejected for unsatisfactory work.
