Money Needed for Greeley District Experiment Farm Plan

At a recent committee meeting it was decided that at least 5500 dollars are required to initiate an experiment farm in the Greeley district and to insure against loss for five years. The county commissioners will likely fund about half in yearly installments, while the remainder will be raised by subscription and placed in bank by January 1906. A board of directors elected by subscribers will oversee the project with agricultural college authorities as advisers to set the experiment plan. The farm would be the first in the state funded by a county effort and a five year period will indicate if it becomes a permanent institution. The college’s proximity and support are expected to provide strong supervision.
