Evans officials discuss cost basis for a new water rate after reviewing reports from Black & Veatch and local engineers. A storage facility is urged to meet peak use and emergencies, with plans for a $450,000 water loop to balance pressures along the south edge of Greeley and Evans 14th Street for shared service.
Winter reconstruction of the Lower Latham Dam will begin in the next weeks. Nelson Haley Patterson and Quirk of Greeley report a $547000 contract to repair mood damage and improve the dam. The project includes rebuilding the breached section and enlarging the spillway from eight to three hundred sixty feet, financed by emergency funds and a Farmers Home Administration loan and stockholder assessments.
