The Weld County planning commission approved a comprehensive land use plan stressing preservation of prime agricultural lands and interrelationship of land water and utilities. It allows modest dispersal of agriculturally oriented businesses and contemplates public hearings and revisions since October 1972.

Fort Lupton board starts annexation drive for 100 acres
Fort Lupton city leaders moved to begin annexation of about 100 acres west of the city along U.S. 45 and the South Platte, including recreation land and the Fort Lupton Modular Home factory.
