The Greeley high school graduation was held Thursday at the Methodist church with a congenial crowd. Dr. Edward S. Parsons of Colorado College gave the address, praised graduates, and diplomas followed from H. N. Haynes. The class motto Higher Forever Higher and leaders Ernest Tuck Ernest Atkinson William Neaswanger noted. A seventh grade cantata Cinderella in Flower Land by Maud Howards and Wright’s students delighted viewers, followed by two May pole dances.

Humane Officer Probes Cow Abuse Near Kersey
Officer George Gale was sent to Kersey to investigate a report of cruel treatment to a cow struck by a train, with a broken leg. The owner allegedly sold the injured animal to a homesteader, Indian Smith, who planned to use the cow for final proof of a stock farm. A caller claimed the animal was being dragged three miles on three legs with a club. Gale headed out in a gas wagon to arrest the owner if the charges prove true.
