Decoration Day Program At Linn Grove Under Veterans Control

United Veterans Council of Greeley will direct the Decoration Day services at Linn Grove cemetery on Tuesday. The march to the grave will include the raising of the colors, with veterans and auxiliary groups participating, followed by a memorial address and rifle salute. Local churches and patriotic organizations are invited to attend the service and the public is urged to join in honoring fallen soldiers.

Giant Douglas Airliner Lands at Denver Port

A half million dollar 42 passenger Douglas airliner landed at the Manfelpal airport at 10:10 a.m. on May 25. The ship, built by the Douglas Aircraft Company, was en route from Cheyenne, Wyoming, on a cross country test run. After a noon inspection, Roy Howard piloted the plane which carried a crew of two.

Light Rain Improves Wheat Yet Falls Short in Drought Areas

Light rain fell over Weld County and irrigated regions during Wednesday night with variable moisture. Readings show showers in Greeley area with totals from 12 to 28 hundredths of an inch, aiding the wheat crop but leaving drought-hit zones at risk. Denver 39th Traffic Death in Year Reported
