Weld County Fair premium list seeks ads for publication
The Weld County Fair association appoints Rich D. Kelley to solicit advertisements and publish a premium list of 100 pages for Weld county farmers and stockmen. Three thousand copies will circulate by July 1 with premiums and purses totaling over 6 000 dollars. The project needs further business contributions to ensure a successful fair in early September.

City Council Refers Fire Equipment Decision to Committee
After two hours of discussion the city council referred the plan to install a new fire apparatus and alarm system to the fire committee with power to act. Seagrave representatives outlined trucks and alarm options. a 40 horsepower truck costs 4400 dollars and the alarm system about 3000 dollars. McCall v J F Smith District Court Ruling
In district court McCall vs J F Smith A A Moody et al the judge overruled a motion to strike part of the complaint and denied a change of venue to Larimer county. Three children of the cook at Sprague grading camp on Pleasant Valley extension of the Union Pacific are ill with diphtheria but are out of danger after antitoxin treatment.
