Hand Irrigation Leads to Arrest Near Platteville
In Platteville on June 20, Tom Berry, hired at the Joe Burris beet field, showed strange behavior by repeatedly fetching water to pour out in one spot. Burris alerted the sheriff after Berry refused to move, saying his guardian forbade it. Deputy Frasier took Berry to Greeley last night for custody and examination.

Sixteen year old Lottie Swartz tops Chicago College of Music program

Fort Lupton on June 20 reports E. Frink achieved a rapid crop set out on a 20 acre tract just 24 hours after harvesting spinach. The spinach is being processed in Frink canning factory as workers immediately planted cabbage where the spinach grew.

Rothie Clark ten year old son of RK Clark lives near Windsor. While chasing Bossy the cow dragged him by a tether causing a nail in the stake to pierce his left index finger. The wound was cauterized by Dr. Bart and no blood poisoning is feared.

Windsor Exacts Death to Rabid Lookout Dog
A mad dog near Windsor prowled the area near W. M. Jones farm two miles southeast. After Jones shot and wounded it, local residents Roy Comb and Fred Crane killed the animal at the front gate. No one was bitten and the head will not be sent for rabies analysis.

Death of E. V. Montgomery Found in Colorado House
E. V. Montgomery, 45, was found dead in his bed at the Colorado house yesterday afternoon at 3 30. Coroner Macy determined death resulted from alcoholism after initial suspicions of self harm. Montgomery, once a Bowling Green Kentucky social figure and sign painter here, left a note mentioning misery and despair. He had an income of 2000 annually and no living relatives except a brother. The body will be buried locally.

Garth Conner, a 27 year old Greeley resident who moved to Tacoma with his wife last March for health reasons, died last Sunday in Tacoma Washington. He is survived by his widow, his mother and sister in Tacoma and by Mrs. Conner’s parents Mr. and Mrs. S J Barnett who live north of Greeley.
