A mystery girl was brought to a local hospital from Fort Lupton last night. Hospital staff began an inquiry to determine her identity and the circumstances surrounding her admission.
An 18 year old woman found near William Powers ranch near Fort Lupton is unable to confirm her name or origin. She gave several conflicting stories and will be held for further examination as doctors find no drug poisoning or mental impairment.
Evans and partners June 13 plan to drill wells with traction diggers to supply scarce pumping plant for surrounding farms. They aim to deliver needed irrigation water to the area.
Eaton officials announce a modern Union Pacific depot is under construction by Geo. B. Swift & Co. of Chicago about two blocks north of the old site. The new building will feature contemporary facilities and will enhance rail service for the town.

In Fort Collins a German farmer Phillip Hartwig shoots sweetheart Christine Schleiger after a night together. The bullet enters near the left ear, lodges at the brain base, and Christine is hospitalized with hopeful recovery if no complications arise. Hartwig, captured later, claims unclear motive and says he hoped to kiss her good night as she turned away. Christine Schleiger, secretary of the Young People’s Society, is highly respected in the German Congregational church.
LaSalle June 13 A new restaurant will rise in a handsome new building on Union Avenue costing about 2000 dollars. The Carlson family of Nebraska, new residents, erected it. Pumping plants are being installed to improve water supply and several more are planned. The road east of town will be gravelled with shared funding by the Commercial club farmers and county. W A Verbeck plans to open a new drug store around June 15.
McMillan and Magirl representing Canada and Nebraska ready for a catch as catch can bout at Varney academy tonight. McMillan vows to throw Magirl twice within an hour as part of an entertaining program arranged by Manager Varney. Daily and other fast men will appear in the preliminaries.
A Saturday game at Paton Eaton ended with Eaton defeating Briggsdale 28 to 3 in a nine inning baseball contest. Briggsdale and Galetown also played a nine inning game which Galetown won badly.

Johnstown is expected to lie on a Union Pacific line with the Fort Collins branch nearly finished. A sugar road route between Officer and Milliken will be used, placing Johnstown midway and near the mine area. Track work continues as regular traffic nears, with one train daily projected once services start. Also Windsor hosts Roullards visiting friends after years away.
Mrs Frank Foster Mrs J W Watson and Miss Foster all of Eaton were seen in the shopping districts of Greeley yesterday. Miss Hattie Yardley departed today for an extended visit through the east spending most of her time in Omaha with relatives and friends.
