Greeley Men Strike Oil At Shallow Well
Oi was struck this morning in a small quantity at a well sunk by the Boulder Greeley Oil company on the main tract. The well 2450 feet deep will require 100 to 200 more feet to reach the oil bearing strata. A new $6000 gas compressor, 4000 pounds of machinery, will be unloaded tomorrow for immediate installation. The compressor will yield about 100000 cubic feet of gas daily and, per estimates, extract 3 to 5 gallons of gasoline per 1000 cubic feet. Manager Morris notes gas escapes from the well currently at one cubic foot per aus.

Betsey Bradfield daughter of Judge Bradfield nearly drowned when she slipped into a ditch near the Carter residence on Tenth avenue.
