Ada Brush operates with Miss Brush and Miss Margaret Doo Mitle, running a women centered embroidery and gift shop at Highth street in Greely. The business traces to Sterling Building origin, later moving to the Sides Typewriter shop area, with Miss Brush living at 1620 Hloverttl street and active in local clubs and church groups.

Larry Vincent Canlin infant son of Mr and Mrs James Ambrose Conlin of LaSalle died Monday morning. Funeral at Macy mortuary Tuesday then Blutteville cemetery. Sumner Morris formerly of Grenlay and Brighton, died Friday aged 43. Funeral Tuesday 10 am at Allen Mortuary in Brighton. He is survived by his wife two sons Bobby and Cate his mother Mrs A C Morris of Denver and two sisters Mrs Faith Cafe of Florence and Mrs Clara Rumble of New York City. Huck Taylor formerly of Hereford and Denver died in Cheyenne Saturday night from brain abscess cardiac injury. Taylor 26 employed by American Gear in Denver. Funeral held in Cheyenne Monday morning at 10 o'clock.
A Buick touring car found parked away from the tool house near the cemetery was claimed stolen by owner 2 E Furman of LaSalle. Deputy Back Moan and C Q Hunter investigate as a 220 gallon grease can, funnel, hose and bucket were found near the scene.
Seven men die and one hospitalized after an explosion in the Hetch Hetchy tunnel near the Calaveras Dam in Alameda County. Listed victims include G. S. Paires of San Francisco and Fred Mader, 28, of Colorado. Rescued worker Richard La Mont reported a gas pocket formed after a dynamite-triggered water surge. investigators suspect a spark ignited the gas.
Washington June 1 The senate judiciary committee ordered an adverse report on the Shipstead Bill to restrict injunctions in labor disputes. Chairman Norris prepared to secure agreement to set the measure as unfinished business at the opening session. Norris will file a minority report while Lim drafts the majority.
Lieutenant Apella Soucek of the navy flighted to an altitude of 43,160 feet last Wednesday, setting a new world altitude record. He surpassed the prior mark of 42,122 feet by 1,038 feet, verified by the Bureau of Standards calibration.
Charles Doland aged 75 died suddenly Friday night in Fort Worth Texas after long heart trouble. He was born in Hamilton New York, a Colgate and University of Michigan graduate with a law degree who practiced until ill health. Survived by daughters Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Tilton, a son John Doland of Peoria, and a sister Mrs. George Gregory. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Macy's with interment at Lion Grove beside his wife.
The Fairview 41 Sewing club met at Janes Briggs home with 14 members present. Mrs Earl Barber was chosen as reader for the season. Guests included Miss Agnew and Miss Stenger along with Mrs Jene Hansen and others. Dorothy Briggs and mother hosted with refreshments. Next meeting set for Halyeow schoolhouse.
Carter, a longtime question answerer on garden work, will discuss summer care for tulips, irises, asparagus, and peonies and address author blight at the Garden Club meeting. Judge HG English will preside in the courtroom at the courthouse.
In the Denver city tournament Greeley players Merlé Ogle Jim Byana and Erndat Keyer competed. Keyes and Byane exited singles on Saturday while Ogle advanced with a bye then 6 4 6 1 win. He faces Tyler Davis or Marlen Owens in the next round Tuesday afternoon.
Gult of Gopigs W Merrill sues Mr and Mrs Pete Felker in district court Tuesday morning to cancel a deed to Windsor property. Merrill claims a $126 judgment against Felker before the conveyance, with interest now about 2018. Defendants say the deed to Felker’s wife was a property settlement, and the Windors were worth 4000 with a 3000 mortgage. mortgage later paid, making seizure to satisfy the judgment improper. H H Houtchens for plaintiff and Thomas A Nixon for defendants.
Dr. John Graham Reid aged 76, a former Presbyterian minister in Greeley and Boulder, died June 1 at his Spokane, Washington home where he had lived for years. A Princeton and Princeton Theological Seminary graduate, he founded the LaSalle Presbyterian church and was survived by his wife Sophronia and children Marion Donal Albert. Funeral services were held in Spokane on Tuesday, June 3. Mrs Brenner sang at the Wer Mothers convention service with War Mothers chapter gifts and leadership changes noted.
Census figures for 20 of Wyoming’s 28 counties show a total population of 196 046, up 4 248 from 1920. Big Horn Fremont Park and Hot Springs counties lag, with some not yet counted, while the state as a whole likely gains between 20 000 and 25 000 over the decade.
Funeral service for Celestia Ange line Hurley aged 64 who died Sunday at Greeley hospital will be held at Sattler Funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with interment at Linn Grove. Rosary tonight at 8 at Sattler. Altar and Rosary members asked to attend. she was born Sept 2 1860 in Springfield Missouri and married to Edward Hurley on April 30 1885 in Olathe Kansas. She came to Colorado in 1913 and is survived by three children including Mrs. R. S. Robertson and A. J. Hurley. She was living with her son when ill.
Mrs Anna Davis of Pittsburgh a noted class prophet at Allegheny College graduation prophesied that Charles Edward Locke would become a bishop. Bishop Locke of St Paul Methodist attended the reunion along with other classmates.
Boulder defeated Gresley in a day of golf at Boulder G eluh on Sunday. Twenty two golfers played and several players did well. The results show many matches with various scores including Bauer defeating Franklin 34, Brash defeating Lead 21, Hayden losing to Lester 31, and others such as McArthur and Hart with multiple scores.
Chicago wheat futures edged higher as exporters reported total sales around 1.5 million bushels and gains were supported by hot winds and soil drift damaging crops. July contracts advanced about 24% cents, while other grain futures moved mixed with corn and oats also showing small changes.
