Special Prizes Presented to 13 Students
Phitleen Toachara college students received special awards on Saturday morning including cups and money prizes. W D Amnentrout announced scholarships and leadership guides while two state superintendent scholarships were awarded to Charley Taylor and Agnes Hickling. Howard Burchard, Budd G. Pitchford, Linnea Ander Bory, and Jenn Quackenbush earned trustees scholarships and prize notes for high academic standing. Annabella McDonald received the Slama Pi Lambda gold award, and Edward Morey won the James D. Ball athletic-letterman prize. The top all around students received silver cups from Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Delta Kappa and Sigma Pi Lambda, with Wilma Brue and Onell Hutchcraft as top freshmen and Robsgie Holden and Dydd Pitchford as top sophomores. Ford Miller received a year’s scholarship from Omega Psi honorary commercial fraternity.
