State tax rise eyed as valuations climb statewide
Governor Shafroth aims for a one third property valuation boost across Colorado as county assessors meet in Denver. A three member committee will standardize real and personal property tax bases, with estimates due from each county assessor on railroad and other property. If valuations rise toward 450 million, state revenue could grow about 200 thousand dollars, funding institutions and general appropriations, including education and mental defectives care.

Summer school starts for 300 teachers in Greeley
The city holds a six week program in the high school for teachers behind in grades one through five with Miss Nora Wilson in charge. Twenty five pupils enrolled.
