Accidental Shooting Claims Life of Grover Girl
A 10 year old girl Laura Parker daughter of George Parker of Grover was accidentally shot by her brother Mowberry Morria while firing a .22 rifle at a target. A cartridge jammed and upon trying to free it the rifle discharged striking her over the eye. She died the following Wednesday.

A 2 year old Russian child named Sercable nearly drowned Saturday at Longmont after slipping into an irrigating ditch swollen by rain. The 6 year old brother acted with presence of mind, jumping from a cross bridge to grab the child and, with help from a 4 year old, lifted the infant from the water. The child was resuscitated after about thirty minutes of effort.

Yesterday at the Congregational church a full morning service celebrated Children’s Day. Three scenes from Joseph were staged by boys in costume.
