George Brown, a 24 year county resident born in New York, died this morning at his son in law J. F. Moody's home west of Greeley after a period of frail health. Wife predeceased him three years ago. Survived by daughters Mrs. Moody and Mrs. Nellie Bauer of Grand Junction. Funeral at 2 p.m. Monday at the Moody home conducted by Rev. D P Forward.

The dam on the Platte river three miles west of bh aims to furnish irrigation and power for towns in the region while storing water in the bed of the river to reduce ditch trouble.
