Judge Garri ros orders Willie Hill to pay alimony and attorney fees in the divorce case of Lillian woo v e Wille Bol. The husband must pay 25 dollars for the wife's counsel and 50 dollars monthly, with a possible September hearing and a restraining request rejected.
A confusing report links Pierce with an arrest for horse theft while misnaming individuals. Donald McLain from Crow Creek district faced a charge of calf theft and is described as recently arriving from Scotland and unfamiliar with Colorado law. The article suggests he was detained and later handed to a foreigner, amid uncertainty if he knew of the theft or any killing.

Investigation disclosed a head wound from a boxcar and motive linked to robbery. In Torreon New Mexico July 7 four robbers invaded Jose Santiago’s room at midnight. Santiago fired twice killing two attackers, the remaining two escaped.
Complaint by 8 R. Wood, resident eleven miles east near 8 L. W. ranch, leads to arrest of George Maul Henry Sedar and Pete Lisher on water theft charges. Officers view dispute as neighbor quarrel rather than a crime.
In Colorado a clash over a Greeley Loveland ditch report. President Levis says the ditch breaks occur three or four times yearly but never overflowed to bank. The account follows twenty one years with only a minor past break near Collins.
The city council discussed street repairs after a storm with fifty workers starting to remove mud and fill hollows. Thirteenth Avenue suffers the worst washout while new concrete gutters under Seventh Avenue tracks spark concern over winter damage.
Townwide drainage efforts continue as half the residents use pumps to empty basements. Neill Furniture reports six to seven thousand dollars in damage from removed furniture and carpet. Hoffmans Market and Enright’s Implement Store suffer hundreds in losses. Water entered through a post hole dug by the light company near the Odd Fellows building flooding cellars. Dozens of rolls of wrapping paper and about 200 cans of lard float in the meat market cellar.
J. Gamer, owner of the Ault market, reports damages between 500 and 600 dollars after a Friday night accident. An inadequately reinforced cellar under the rear addition gave way, dropping the engine and sausage grinder into the excavation and causing extensive harm to the property. The cellar was being dug beneath the addition connected to the pool room run.

A lightning storm struck the Eaton district near the Vance residence, hitting the new high school under construction and causing extensive damage. Residents recalled the event as the worst storm in memory with no fatalities and the nearby cottage owner, Mr. Vance, recovering after being stunned.
Roy Mooney, returning from target practice, shot his father Frank Mooney with a .22 rifle four miles west of Ridgeway. The elder Mooney died instantly as he shaved, talking to his wife about a proposed trip. The son, grieving, is distraught. the Mooney family has long been known in the Ridgway area.
North of Kersey the feud between the Johnson and Glasscock families deepens as Glasscock faces trial for an alleged attempt to kill. A peace bond failed and he was again placed under $150 bonds with a July 14 hearing. Johnson recounts a dramatic rifle incident involving Glasscock’s wife. The case is expected to draw a large crowd.
A company of ranchmen from near Greeley left Tuesday for Twin Pass Idaho to inspect the country. The party includes C. D. Redd Co FP Alden and P Jones with them.
Judge Davis discussed city fines noting the joy riders are the best paying ordinance. He cited June contributions of 146 dollars, half of that month’s total fines, and quipped about keeping workers to maximize revenue.
George Weber a German style sausage maker admitted no drunkenness after a Denver trip with two beers and a quart of rye. Police detained him as wobbling with a suitcase of bottles. witnesses testified to unsteady walking. Judge imposed ten dollars fine plus eight dollars and fifty six cents costs. Several others pleaded guilty and paid five dollars plus costs. The blacksmith who struck Officer Abr end faces thirty days in jail.
Flooding from the Larimer ditch overwhelmed the Eaton ditch area south of Ault. At Ernest Motander’s ranch fifty men worked to shore the bank as water receded. Parsons and Gibbons properties flooded, tenants moved out, livestock losses included poultry. Mrs. Arthur Guisinger evacuated with two children as telephones remained out of service and full damage remained uncertain.
H B Orms of near Ault sues Lone Tree Lateral for 1000 pounds after a company ditch broke flooding his land. Charles F Meyer president argues the plaintiff should compensate the ditch company for irrigating wheat, claiming flood improves grain. Attorneys Houcon Ault and Joseph Ewing represent the parties.
