Runaway Team Dashes Through LaSalle Town
Special to the Daily Tribune reports Charles Milroy's team ran away in LaSalle on December 29 hitting T. W. Hughes buggy, tearing a wheel but causing no further damage. Milroy and John Botts pursued ice loads. Milroy swapped to Botts' wagon, and the fast team sped downhill until they halted after crashing Hughes' buggy.

Two Large Reservoirs Planned Near Fort Morgan
Maps filed by Halstead L. Ritter of Denver describe two reservoirs to be built two miles west of Fort Morgan along the Platte River. Reservoir No 1 holds 252 500 000 cubic feet with a dam 20 feet high and 1 450 feet long. No 2 holds 797 081 800 cubic feet with a dam 25 feet high and 1 700 feet long. The dams will submerge five sections of land at an estimated cost of 859 560 for construction and about 100 per acre for submerged land. Completion targeted within two years.
