Ault Dec 8. For a second time in two weeks the pumphouse at Ken Wyatt's burned to the ground after workers tried to thaw frozen water pipes. Flames spread beyond control and fire crews were called. The top wheel at the structure endangered workers but no injuries were reported. Loss estimated at 150 dollars.
A fire destroyed the Wyatt pump station used by nearby homes for water, while a man named Wyatt narrowly escaped when he stepped outside by chance. The pump and related houses, owned by R. L. Pence, were lost, with Pence planning to connect to city water rather than rebuild.
Letters of administration were granted today in the county court to George F. Vollmar as administrator of the estate of his mother Anna Vollmar who recently died in Platte County.
R T Nutt arrived from Washington Iowa has bought 2000 acres east of Ault to promote dry farming techniques. He and his wife will spend the winter in Greeley. Miss Libbie Williams resigns from Mrs C A House and heads to California via Nebraska for the winter. Lexie Mead returns from Denver to visit family before returning to Chicago Art School. Mrs Martha Stewart of 1415 Seventh Avenue is recovering from a fractured hip and likely to remain bedridden for three months.
Tobias Tafoya and Rosa Salaz received a marriage license in Johnstown this morning, with both partners listed as residents of the city. The ceremony date and venue were not specified in the notice.
The Denver Laramie and Northwest era moves to Greeley with grading planned by 10 o clock Thursday morning. The advance crew secured grounds south of the city limits and moved from Pvans to Greeley today. Weather delays possible as crews prepare to begin grading on Seventeenth Street at 10 o clock.
Charles C. Anderson of Wahoo Nebraska, vied against James Dolan, a wealthy landowner, in Weld County. Dolan bought tax certificates for dry lands worth thousands of dollars, triggering Anderson's suit. At a meeting yesterday, Anderson paid 159 dollars plus costs and regained his land.
Walter Chandler sues Pierce Irrigation Co for 14000 dollars claiming injuries after the team he drove veered off a bridge the company built near Pierce. Judge Garrigues to hear the case with defense by Joseph Ewing and William Kelley and plaintiff lawyers Nixon and Mann. Alex Mead presides Pierce Irrigation Co. move to amend the complaint after a demurrer.
The Brunswicks defeated the A. P. & R. team by 500 pins in a busy alley contest. Eddie Stanger led with the high single and top series, while Crozier and Kirchgestner posted strong scores for the Brunswick squad. The Brunswicks plan to meet the Electricians next Friday night.
One top attraction at the Catholic fair is tonight’s Armory game between the Greeley Red Sox and God as part of a growing schedule. The fair’s popularity rises with each passing night.
City council approves paying costs of the W. J. McGregor trial for the killing of Frank Tuck. The annual appropriation bill is settled. The Alta Vista addition is admitted, with Denver Laramie Northwestern and Union Pacific lines making property taxable. A petition to allow delivery riders on sidewalks with bicycles during stormy weather is rejected.
J. B. Knowles, 86, Weld County resident, was struck by a dog near the Orpheum theatre last night. He sustained a deep scalp cut and possible internal injuries but is resting comfortably at home.

Discussion on a new sewage system between Eighth and Ninth Streets on Fourteenth Ave.
Bailey and Austin present The Top of th World a fantastical musical comedy with strong New York Chicago endorsements and a remaining supporting company. The show promises a kaleidoscopic dream of fun color song and dance with a lively ensemble of performers in varied costumes unlikely to be a road show.
The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Bliss died Tuesday morning at the Bliss home in Eaton from bronchial pneumonia. He was nearly three years old. The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at the house.
Mrs. J. N. Akey entertained Windsor friends at her home after returning from Effingham Kansas. Monday night featured Guessing games and refreshments were served at a late hour.
