W A Parker, an Eaton resident connected with northern Colorado figures, died when his wagon toppled along a St. Cloud area mountain trail. Found days later by nursing party, the body showed a broken neck, suggesting instantaneous death. Investigation continues with no foul play evident and Parker’s money found on the corpse.
W A Parker 60 formerly of Eaton was last seen Tuesday afternoon after dining with the Compton family. His team left unattended, the horses returned without a driver that night, and his body was found two days later. Survived by six daughters and two sons. Funeral held at Fort Collins with friends Wells Waldo Foster and others in attendance. An investigation found no evidence of foul play.
The case of Fred M Marrington versus C J Fiedler for car collision damage is before Judge Bradfield in county court. Harrington seeks $500, Fiedler counters for $1,800. Attorneys Merlyn Aylesworth and George Carlson represent Harrington. Joseph Ewing and William Kelley represent Fiedler.
Rev H C Warner head of East Side Methodist Church since September was honored with a surprise party Monday evening. Trudy Cameron and the Cameron sisters hosted at their home with Epworth League members and friends, planning supper and a fun evening before his departure to Grand Valley.
Weld County Medical Association met at City Hall Monday evening with Dr. W. H. Shields presenting the paper. Officers elected were Dr. O F P Broman president, Dr. J A Dungan vice president, and Dr. J K Miller secretary and treasurer. The group includes thirty members, but twenty attended due to severe weather. A. Hardy of Canon City Record sent a copy of Scenic Drives, a Canon City picture volume, to the Tribune.
County board approves filing and names Platte Valley Municipal irrigation district. Election scheduled for December 24. District lies east of the Union Pacific tracks between Brighton and Platteville in township 1 south to 3 north, range 66 west.
The Greeley Relief Society board elected Mrs. Josephine Cheeseman as president and C. M. Foulk as vice president, with Marion Van Dyne and A. Jd. Condon serving as treasurer and board member. The group plans a central downtown office and a committee to organize a fundraising subscription campaign.
The first annual meeting of the Northern Colorado Building & Loan Association was held Monday evening in the offices of Welsh and Martin. The association, in its first year, doubled its stockholders since organization. C. F. Gell C. BE Short and Charles Knelly were appointed auditors to inspect the books and report at the adjourned meeting, set for January, when officers will be elected.
Blanda Nelson was granted $1,000 alimony Monday from Oscar Nelson a Klondike miner whom she wed two years ago. The wife was only 15 at the time of marriage. The couple lived at Pierce.
The Vigorous Commercial Club of LaSalle announces plans to build two factories in LaSalle, seeking to spur local industry and job creation with the project moving to formal discussions.
LaSalle pursues a possible canning factory with Hastings Manufacturing of Chicago offering terms through the newly formed Commercial club. Max Kuner promises to move his cucumber pickle factory to LaSalle if enough farmland is secured. A river water dispute in district court tests whether C H Ramsay may draw Platte river water from Delta to Morgan amid denials by state engineers.
In Lasalle on December 7 the Commercial club elected new officers after reorganizing. Dr. B. A. Warren becomes president, Rev. Frank Dametz vice president, and Philip E. Smith secretary and treasurer. The meeting also discussed a new canning factory and the Kuner pickle factory. Hastings was not represented but remains in communication.

A test case drawing broad interest across the state involves Ramsay versus Jacobs with Denver attorneys Goudy and Twitchell opposing. The court may dismiss on demurrer, but Ramsay vows to press the matter if overruled.

Richard Wuetig, son of Henry Wuetig, who wandered the prairie for several days, is recovering at the county hospital. Matron Mrs Knutsen says the boy is doing nicely and there was never an amputation contemplated.
The annual election of officers will be held at the regular meeting at 2 30 o clock Thursday afternoon. All members are requested to be present.
