Gravity Iowa 1881 town lot boom and early deeds

In 1881 gravity Iowa surveyors laid out business and residence lots as excitement ran high. Early builders included Dr J T McColm and T J Davis with Uncle Sam post office in their drug store. A Christian church was planned and the first prayer and business meetings occurred in the Stouder building. The draft notes recount fond memories of wells scarce and town growth structured around a Union depot and rail expectations.
