What the YWCA does for the Army and Navy
The Y W C A War Work Council lends its resources to the War Department Commission on Training Camp Activities. It runs ninety one Hostess Homes in army navy and aviation camps including thirteen for colored troops to provide home life and visits for mothers friends and babies. It offers special aid to foreign born in their home tongues and hosts ninety three Girls Club and Recreation Centers for social events. Service centers keep girls fit to support war orders and every man in khaki has a girl in war industries. Houses are being built for the U S Signal Corps girls tending them in France.
