A Montana opinion piece decries proliferating government layers at national state county and city levels. It argues jobs boards and commissions multiply without retrenchment, wastes billions, and burdens taxpayers, urging reform and a reckoning as public groans grow louder.
The Montana Trade Commission extended license applications to November 1 1919 for wholesalers merchants and others buying or selling commodities in the state under Chapter 21 16th Legislative Assembly Extraordinary Session 1919. Failure to apply by then carries a fine of not less than 1000.00. Licenses vary by investment levels with terms ending December 31 1919.
The Ladies Aid Society met with Mrs. Washburn last Thursday afternoon. Reverends Aiten and Edgington visited the Air and found the women busy. Mrs. Weber hosts on the 16th. officers to be elected at Sunday School. At 7 PM youths meet to organize Epworth League and at 8 PM Rev. Aiten preaches. Rev. Edgington’s sermon on The Valley of Decision drew praise. A baptismal service followed. The Range community expresses sincere appreciation for Rev. Edgington’s inspiring ministries.
