Governor I S V Stewart designates November 11 1918 as National War Fund Campaign Week in Montana. The effort supports YMCA YWCA War Camp Community Service Jewish Welfare Board Salvation Army and others to aid soldiers and their welfare with a $170 500 000 target and urges schools to enlist 5000 boys and 5000 girls in the Victory Boys and Girls organization.

London dated November 3 reports British casualties for October totaling 159,825 officers and men. Of these 28,297 were killed or died of wounds. Breakdown shows killed or died of wounds: officers 2,060, men 26,237. Wounded or missing: officers 6,065, men 124,463.

Paris reports that since the July 15 offensive on the western front allied forces have captured 362,355 prisoners including 7,990 officers. They also seized 6,217 cannons, 38,622 machine guns and 3,907 mine throwers.
