Dr Bartlett Receives Call to Fort Riley

Dr. John D. Bartlett a First Lieutenant in the medical officers reserve leaves Grass Range for Fort Riley Kansas around June first after a village sendoff. The crowd at the hotel banquet honored him with toasts prayers and songs praising his service and wishing a speedy return.

Our First City Election: People’s Ticket Backed

The June 16 election will choose Mayor and Aldermen. People’s Ticket lists James H. Charters for Mayor and Saylor Young Harrigan Vrooman for wards. Citizens’ Ticket nominates W C Weber and Clark Laird Wiseman Wilson. The paper supports People’s Ticket and endorses Charters and Harrigan.
